In the unlikely event of breaking, it shatters into honeycomb-like blunt-edged particles, thus greatly minimizing the risk of injury. Post-tempering, the glass cannot be re-cut, and while it carries a minimal 0.3% risk of spontaneous breakage due to nickel sulfide impurities, employing laminated processes effectively mitigates this concern.
