This is achieved by heating the glass to a substantial 620°C, followed by a rapid cooling process. This sequence creates a robust surface compressive stress layer and an internal tensile stress layer, elevating its impact resistance and thermal stability to new heights, effectively withstanding temperature variations of up to 200°C. In the rare event of breakage, it transforms into honeycomb-like blunt particles, significantly lowering injury risk. This exceptional glass finds extensive application in curtain walls, doors, windows, partitions, and furniture. However, please note that once tempered, it cannot be re-cut. With a negligible spontaneous breakage risk of around 0.3%, often from nickel sulfide impurities, this risk can be skillfully reduced through expert lamination processes.
